CRT Story Editing
The next smart step is not a full CMS yet. Start by making the Infocom room script a structured source file, then let Admin preview the current opening text, command aliases, and route targets.
- Phase 1: view/export the script map from
docs/INFOCOM_CRT_GAME_SCRIPT.md. - Phase 2: edit safe fields like opening lines, hints, and jumprope aliases.
- Phase 3: validate room paths before publishing changes.
Mixtape Signals
The most useful dashboard upgrade is a simple funnel: started, saved, issued, handoff opened, player opened, first track played, Walkman opened. That will show where the ritual is working.
- Flag tapes with no player opens after issue.
- Surface the first song as a quiet Rumbuckler signal, never as marketing copy.
- Add a tiny "recent magic" feed for interesting issued tape titles.
Visual Polish Queue
Keep chasing the physical-object feeling: labels attached to cassettes, print inserts that feel cut-and-fold real, and controls that look like they belong to the deck instead of the browser.
- Lock cassette label zones per design.
- Reel animation is proven; tune it from visible debug into an inside-the-shell mechanism.
- Test REW/FF hold scanning on a real phone before dialing up the deck drama.
- Keep Walkman Mode hidden and discovered, not over-explained.
